Last night I did a quickbooks update and rebooted and this morning nothing was working. The server does not know who or what anything is. I can strictly only login via .administrator. I’m unsure what steps to do in order to fix this.
When I do nslookup foobar.com I get
Server: unknown
Ip: 10.168.168.254
I tried to also do a azure system state recovery that was 2 days old and that did not fix it either.
The server does not pickup internet. Only displays the orange hazard logo. The only way I got internet to work was to change the servers Ethernet settings to my ISP static ip’s. Which I had to do for the system state recovery.
I’m leaning towards dns or dc issue but I cannot modify anything since I’m logged in with local account.
Update 1:
When I login as .administrator it doesn’t recognized DNS or AD, etc. all of the services are failed. Won’t let me start like DNS for example and doesn’t see my AD DC Forrest at all.
internally if I tracert from a pc 10.168.168.x to server 10.168.168.254 it’s <1ms only 1 hop of course.
externally(hotspot ie) if I tracert from pc to ISP static ip on server it’s request time out on each hop (ipv4).
Which is odd cause I can reach the iis page on browser....
- If I do the same thing as 2. But with the iis address, it can reach the servers IPS static ip but it shows me in brackets the ipv6. Weird.
