sms - Does a Firebase Deeplinks cache og meta data when not specified?

Question

I have a few firebase deeplinks set up. I currently updated the OG meta data for title, description, and image. However, the deeplinks seem to still use old data on some phones.

For example, on my Pixel 3 with Pulse SMS, I get old image/description settings. But not via the default messaging app. When I inspect the photo, I see that it has type "media/web".
