how i can create auto hyperlink in string and skip tag a and tag img

$str = 'hello world <a href="link">hello</a><img src="link img" alt="hello world">';

when i create hyperlink php return this code

$link = "wp.com";
$title = 'hello';
echo preg_replace("/$title/i","<a href="$link" title="$title">$title</a>",$str);

return

<a href="wp.com" title="hello">hello</a> world <a href="link"><a href="wp.com" title="hello">hello</a></a><img src="link img" alt="<a href="wp.com" title="hello">hello</a> world">

this is duplicate link. how i can fix this ?
