socket.io - setInterval (emit socketio ping) not working in BackgroundMode (Ionic)

Question

I am making an application in ionic-vue and using socket-io for the data in real time, but when the application enters the background, socket-io disconnects it for reason: "ping timeout" ... I have tried using the plugin BackgroundMode with a setinterval to send a ping, but it only runs once.

My code:
