With Dot Net, I can fire up a Windows Form, set its background to transparent, capture the pixels of that form, and write them to disk. This would result in a "screenshot" of the contents of the form, which, since it is transparent, would display the contents behind the form (e.g. the desktop).
How can I do a similar thing with Python? I do not want to take a screenshot of the whole desktop and I do not want to have to enter a window name so that I can capture a specific window.
