I have a Choropleth Mapbox plot where the values are being set by a series of floats between -1.5 and 0.5, which are representing percentages. I have tried to set the tick format exactly as the documentation recommends, using the following:
fig.update_traces(colorbar_tickformat=':.2%', selector=dict(type='choroplethmapbox'))
However this has no effect - the ticks are still just -1.5, -1, -0.5, 0, 0.5, just as they are without that code snippet. I would like to be able to format the ticks as percentages without having to manually set arrays of ticks.
EDIT: Solved, using the following code.
fig.update_layout(coloraxis_colorbar_tickformat='.2%')
