xamarin.android - Post Request freezes on Xamarin Forms Android App

Question

I'm working on a Xamarin forms project and I have a problem when making a post on android app.

so all this time I've tested my app (IOS/Android) on a local database on localhost and haven't got any issues until I recently deployed the web app to the iis server..

after deployment I've only changed the baseurl of the httpclient

//BaseAddress = new Uri("http://10.0.2.2:62597/api/");
  BaseAddress = new Uri("http://asim88-001-site1.ftempurl.com/api/");

I've succesfully made post/get requests on POSTMAN and IOS app

but what happens on android is

 var dataToPass = contentType == ContentType.StringContent ? data.AsStringContent() as HttpContent : data.AsStringDictionary() as HttpContent;

 var response = await client.PostAsync(route, dataToPass); // The break point hits this line and stays here forever on the android app, does not cancel does not time out does not throw exceptions..

anyone faced a similar issue? I really appreciate any help ! thanks
