Structual Topic Model Error in prevalence of R stm package

Anyone who knows how to run stm package??

library(splines)

poliblogPrevFit <- stm(documents = out$documents, vocab = out$vocab, K = 20, prevalence =~ rating + s(day), max.em.its = 75, data = out$meta, init.type = "Spectral")

Error in makeTopMatrix(prevalence, data) : Error creating model matrix.
This could be caused by many things including
explicit calls to a namespace within the formula.
                 Try a simpler formula.

Not sure what should I do to solve this problem?

library(splines)

poliblogPrevFit <- stm(documents = out$documents, vocab = out$vocab, K = 20, prevalence =~ Rating + Review Date, max.em.its = 75, data = out$meta, init.type = "Spectral")

Rating, Review Date; in my dataset

Error in stm(documents = out$documents, vocab = out$vocab, K = 20, prevalence = ~data$Review.Date + :
number of observations in content covariate (2642) prevalence covariate (2650) and documents (2642) are not all equal.

How should I run it with prevalence? Thanks
