python - How to implement a transition matrix as a numpy array and generate a Markov chain from it?

I want to use python to generate a realisation of the Markov chain using the transition matrix given as

import numpy as np

T =np.array([ [0.40, 0.56, 0.03, 0.01],
     [0.45, 0.51, 0.01, 0.00],
     [0.25, 0.25, 0.25, 0.25],
     [0.00, 0.00, 0.01, 0.99] ])

How can I generate a Markov chain from this transition matrix?
