Is it possible to change pixel colors or apply an advanced filter to android screen output?

My phone's lcd is not working properly. and there is no way I can get a replacement soon (electronics are expensive in my country). I noticed that some colors are more visible than others. is there a way to program an app to change pixel color output or apply a filter to the screen ? (without root acess if possible) ps: i'm not an android developper. but i have some general knowledge about it.
