adb - Android internal Storage Clone With DD

Question

I want to make a clone of an android internal storage phone directly to the PC without a SD card, I found this command here:

adb shell 'dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 2>/dev/null' > mmcblk0.img

but I don't know where the output file goes to. "2>/dev/null" what is this? I was thinking that the file goes to the adb exucutable folder...
