real time - Does PushWoosh retrieves Push Notification in realtime?

Question

I am building an application that needs to notify users in realtime, so I thought about using push notifications since WebSockets are "paused" when the application enters in background mode. But I'm having trouble finding Push Notifications services that accomplish this task (realtime push notifications).

I have tested and read about Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) reliability. It not always push the messages in realtime. And learning about PushWoosh I had the impression that it uses FCM under the hood to send push notifications (it requires FCM authentication data).

So, my question is if PushWoosh uses FCM under the hood and, most important, if it guarantees the Push Notification is received by the user in realtime (or ~5sec).
