time series - Influxdb HTTP plugin

Question

Our dev team has created an HTTP endpoint where they are exposing all the status from all the applications in our environment. That endpoint updates a list of json every 5 seconds. can I use HTTP input plugin for influxdb to write that data into DB? Any other alternatives within this constraint would be much appreciated.
