I am currently working on a problem we are having propagating Windows AD Credentials to a webservice via an xml datasource in SSRS. The web service (IIS hosted, .NET) needs to receive the credentials of the user viewing the report. The web service and SSRS server are on separate servers. We currently have Kerberos delegation enabled and works correctly when connecting to a sql server datasource, but I am unable to get it working for the webservice using soap requests. I cant seem to find any resources online for this particular use case, is it possible?
User -> SSRS Server -> Web Server
- IIS site has Negotiate as authentication provider.
- Double hop works for SSRS -> SQL Servers
- Tried WebService .asmx annotated with [Authorize] (should allow any windows account)
- SSRS error when querying the api: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
