python - recognize numbers from an image

I got an image with numbers that I want to save to a file. I create a mask so I will have only the numbers from the image but I don't know how to recognize them. I try to use pytesseract but I got jibberish - "C2cr)Lim)Li}GQ♀"

Does anyone have any idea of another way? Why does it print my numbers wrong? I put my code down below so you can read the numbers and the image with the mask

import pytesseract
from PIL import Image

[Image][1]

pytesseract.pytesseract.tesseract_cmd = r"C:ProgramFilesTesseract-OCResseract.exe"
img = Image.open(r"E:
ead_digit_imagemaskGetNumber.jpg")
text = pytesseract.image_to_string(img)
print(text)
